Yoga Poses

There are a variety of poses in Yoga, and our website, meant for the beginner, provides detailed instructions and pictures of the various poses.

  • Sequence of Poses
There is a rhythm in the practice of yoga that offers many beneficial health results when done correctly. Performing the asanas in the correct order is essential to finding this rhythm and allowing the body to naturally flow from one stage to the next, without interruptions or abrupt leaps.

  • Bow Pose
The Bow Pose is executed by raising both halves of the body simultaneously, through a combination of other yoga poses. This movement tones the back muscles and contributes to increasing the elasticity of the spine and increasing vitality and improving posture.

  • Bridge Pose
The bridge pose is accomplished while coming down from the shoulder stand pose, with the feet going into the opposite direction. Holding this pose is beneficial for the back and abdominal muscles.

  • Cobra Pose
When performing the Cobra Pose the head and trunk arch and the spine stretches powerfully and the abdominal organs together with the surrounding musculature receive a thorough massage. This pose is recommended for pain relief and to relieve constipation as well as to treat menstrual irregularities.

  • Corpse Pose
For its many beneficial results, the Corpse Pose is a highly popular relaxation pose.

  • Crow Pose
The Crow Pose places the weight of the body on the elbows, while the hands and head are oriented forward.

  • Easy Pose
Also known as Sukhasana, the Easy Pose is a relaxation pose that is normally practiced after the Corps Pose in Yoga.

  • Fish Pose
The fish pose is the natural successor of the shoulder stand and should be used as a counter pose to the stand.

  • Forward Bend
The forward bend is one of the basic asanas and provides the practitioner with an easy and relaxing pose. The bend will massage inner organs for better blood circulation and strengthen the back.

  • Half Spinal Twist
The half spinal twist is performed to increase lateral flexibility and completes the series of poses that develop mobility and overall fitness.

  • Hands to Feet Pose
The hand to feet pose provides many of the same benefits of the forward bend pose.

  • Head Stand Pose
The Head Stand pose is one of the most beneficial yoga postures for both the body and mind. The reverse of gravity helps reset the heart, improve blood circulation, and release back pain.

  • Locust Pose
The Locust Pose is excellent for strengthening the lower back muscles and toning the arm and leg muscles.

  • Plow Pose
Performing the Plow requires the use of the flexibility and muscle tone developed with other yoga poses, such as the shoulder stand.

  • Prone Yoga Poses
The aim of prone poses in yoga is to prepare the body in areas of strength and flexibility. Muscle stretching improves not only the way the other poses are performed but also help the organism increase blood circulation.

  • Yoga Seated Poses
The order of poses is vital in yoga as each preceding pose prepares the body for the next level of intensity. The seated poses work best when started with the Sukhasana.

  • Shoulder Stand Pose
The shoulder stand pose is very popular with yoga practitioners and is considered one of the best yoga asanas.

  • Yoga Standing Poses
The standing poses are some of the most efficient poses in yoga. They stretch the muscles and have noticeable effects on the accuracy and response of the nervous system.

  • Sun Salutation
The Sun Salutation pose is recommended for practitioners of all ages and especially for those that cannot dedicate a lot of time to their yoga routine. The reason this pose is highly appreciated is because it involves most of the muscle groups, as well as the respiratory system.
