Shoulder Lifts
Many yoga practitioners state that they practice yoga for health reasons. Many consider yoga a great way to reduce stress, strengthen muscles, reach profound relaxation and improve meditation techniques.
Many people deal with stress and discomfort due to everyday problems and worries. It is difficult for them to concentrate and they become restless and are unable to relax.
The presence of stress is felt in the areas of the shoulders and neck. These parts of the body hold a great deal of tension, which produces severe headaches. For that reason many yoga trainers recommend the practice of Shoulder Lifts as many times a day as necessary.
To perform these moves raise one shoulder at a time or both at once and repeat the movement at least five times. Be certain to do this slowly and to keep the spine straight. Take long deep breaths to maximize the beneficial effects of the exercise.
When the practice is done correctly the tension felt in the shoulder area will gradually dissipate.
The great thing about this exercise is that it can be done anywhere, even while working and the results are always amazing.
